Before leaving, in January i asked some of my friends to give me something, as a small present that would keep alive in me their memory: when you become an exchange student, or anyway, you move out from your native place, you have two parallel lifes to keep moving on and it's really difficult to be in contact with all the people you would like to talk, and also to remember everyone (it may seems a bit evil to say, but it's like this!). So one of my friend at University, Alfredo, gave me a ceramic dwarf, the one you put in the gardens or inside vases as decorations. This because, according to him, i look like the protagonist of the french movie: "Amelie Poulain" .It's a big compliment for me, cause she is a really strange, unconventional and nice character. Well, in the movie, her father is really scared to travel and leave his place, so she stole his garden dwarf and give it to her friend which is an air hostess, so she use to travel a lot.She takes picture of the dwarf with on the background something caracteristic of another country (like Pisa Tour or Russia's palaces) and send it to Amelie's father. My friend gave it, so i could show him and all my friends all the beautiful places i would have go.He was always happy to receive my pictures and i actually started to find it a kind of tradition. I always put the dwarf in my luggage.

So, obviously when i arrived in Arhus i took a picture of it, and the view from my window.

I didn't bring it back home in April, but in my second trip in the same month i took it with me to Oslo and i took a photo next to the Design museum.

I know i might had seemed a bit of a strange person, going around with a dwarf in my hands and taking pictures of it. I actually forgot to take a picture in Berlin, cause at that time i was travelling with ALL my stuff and luggages and i forgot. But i took some photos in Lisboa, in the old quarter of the city, where my friend was living.

Actually, something bad happened to the dwarf. I've broke it.It was inside my bag and i did the fatal error to make the bag fell of my shoulder really heavily at Bruno's place. But fortunatelly it broke exactly in the middle, so the light brown part, the one that you put inside the earth broke, but the figure of the dwarf is completely entire, still. I would have felt a really sorry if it broke into pieces completelly. I took it with me in Sintra (close to Lisboa), after the break, he look still fine.

The funny story is that i still..ops..IT still didn't finish to travel. In August i will go with Samir to Aarhus and to Copenhagen, so i will bring it with me.
And also, my friend, and other University mates, are gonna leave to spend 6month as exchange student, this next year (Belgium, France, Spain,Germany...).They are asking me a lot of question, and i'm happy that i can help them out.I was almost more excited than them, cause i know what they will experience and how they will feel, so i'm really happy Alfredo is gonna leave. I think i have to give him a dwarf too, maybe. So i
